Research Interests

Dr. Ryan Kennedy (he/him) Dr. Kennedy is faculty in the Department of Anthropology and the Director of WRAZL. He is a zooarchaeologist and his research focuses on the commodification of animals in the past. Dr. Kennedy is especially interested in the trade of wild animals like fishes, birds, and turtles, and how associated processes like fishing and plume hunting impacted past animal populations.
